The matte black barrel feels great in hand and the glossy accents keep it from looking plain. I've been using it daily for notes and the weight is balanced enough that my hand doesn't cramp. The large clip actually holds onto my notebook cover without bending.

The knurled end piece gives me a solid grip even when my hands are a little sweaty. And the weight of the metal body makes my handwriting look steadier than usual, which I wasn't expecting from a pencil.
