The Coronation pen has been designed by Retro 51 especially for His Majesty King Charles III's, Coronation.
The pen design is based on St Edwards Crown, and Mace No 2.
St Edwards Crown was made in 1661 and has been used for Coronations since the 13th Century. The solid gold crown is 30cm tall and weighs a huge 2.23kg. It is decorated with 444 precious and semi-precious stones. Usually found on display at the Tower of London it has been absent recently in order to be re-sized for His Majesty King Charles III. St George's Crown can be seen reflected in the design on the barrel of the pen.
The design of Mace No.2 another integral part of the Coronation can be seen on the barrel of the pen.
It has an extra special purple regal accent historically reserved for royalty. Coronation 2023 emblem on the custom packaging, finishing off the pen beautifully. The top disc features King Charles III's royal cypher and is only authorized for official memorabilia during this historically significant occasion. A must for the discerning Retro 51 collector, here in the UK and around the commonwealth and rest of the world.
