Sandy H. is the winner of the first-ever "Design Your Own Retro 51 Art Contest." Her Tangled Garden received the most votes out of 6 finalists and over 80 total entries from pen enthusiasts, artists, and designers around the world.

Sandy is a big fan of whimsy and a Certified Zentangle®️ Teacher since 2012. Her tangle art has been featured in several published books. For the contest, her goal was to create a cheerful design that would make people smile when they saw it. We think she nailed it! Sandy's winning illustration wraps around the tapered body of the Tornado pen, bordered by glossy black trims. Charge up the pen under direct light to see the white areas glow in the dark. This is a Limited Edition of 500 pieces worldwide, individually numbered on the top ring.
