The pen writes smoothly right out of the box—I was a bit worried about the nib feeling scratchy, but it handles fountain pen ink beautifully. The deep brown finish on the body really does justice to Tubman’s legacy, too.

The Harriet Tubman design is striking, but the pen feels a bit lighter than I prefer for daily writing. It writes smoothly enough, though I wish the ink flow was slightly more consistent.
