I picked this up for the cherry blossom anniversary and the pink floral barrel looks even better in person than in the photos. The Retro51 build feels solid in hand and the cap posts securely, though I do wish it came with a converter instead of just cartridges.
The pink petals wrapped around the barrel are subtle enough to carry at the office but still catch my eye every time I uncap it. Retro51's tornado body feels solid in hand, and the nib laid down a smooth line right out of the box. Twenty years of this series and I finally understand the fuss.
The cherry blossom design on the barrel is even prettier in person, with soft pink petals that catch the light. I've been using it for my daily journaling, and the nib glides smoothly without any skipping. The twist cap feels solid too, no wobble at all.
