The 1.1mm lead is thicker than what I usually use, so it doesn't snap every five minutes like my old thin pencils did. Knowing an eight year old came up with the design makes it a fun one to keep at my desk.
The 1.1mm lead is that sweet spot between too thin and too chunky, and it holds a point longer than I expected. Knowing only 150 of these exist makes me weirdly nervous to actually use it, but I've been sketching with it all week anyway.
My kid spotted this before I could even open the box—the backstory behind the design is what sold me. It’s a solid piece of the limited 150 run, and knowing an eight-year-old sketched the whole thing makes it feel special to hold.
